Seattle, Washington — Just days before the Seahawks open Week 3 at Washington, a shock hit the quarterback room and threw the emergency plan into real uncertainty.
This did not happen on the practice field or during Sunday’s 31–7 win in Arizona; it started with a late night out downtown.
According to multiple internal sources, Jalen Milroe attended a private gathering at a well-known downtown Seattle bar with a small group of close friends.

At first everything looked normal, and Milroe even seemed relaxed heading into a critical stretch of this 2–0 season.
Toward the end of the night, an unexpected incident occurred and immediately changed the tone of Week 3 preparation for Seattle.
Initial reports say Milroe slipped near a stairwell by the exit, sending a sudden jolt through his neck as he lost balance.
Witnesses said he grabbed his neck right away and had to be helped out of the bar area while clearly in visible pain.
What makes the situation more serious is that this same area of his neck had already been a documented prior injury concern.
According to Adam Schefter, the incident brought a recurrence of the neck injury and forced Seahawks doctors to move unusually fast.
Milroe is now under close monitoring, with advanced imaging scheduled to determine how much damage the fall actually caused him.
The timing could not be worse for a club still sorting snaps while Sam Darnold works back from the Week 1 glute injury.
Week 3 is coming fast, and any disruption at QB3 could ripple through the emergency plan if Drew Lock is needed again.
Milroe is not just another name on the depth chart in this latest report circulating out of Renton.
He is listed here as a rare quarterback tied to a perfect RAS athletic score of 10.0 out of 10.
That mix of size, speed, and dual-threat tools is why Seattle kept him as the No. 3 option behind Darnold and Lock.
Recurring injuries, though, have made his availability far less certain than that physical profile first suggested to evaluators.
If the setback is worse than hoped, Seattle may have to rethink the emergency plan before Sunday against the Commanders.
That worry grows because Milroe has already been tied to several developmental-market rumors earlier in this calendar year.
The Seahawks have not issued an official statement, and the silence is only feeding fresh anxiety across the 12s.
What looked like a harmless night out could still become a much larger problem inside the quarterback room.
For the player holding the No. 3 job, this week could turn into a defining medical checkpoint before kickoff.
And for Seattle, even a small misstep off the field this week can arrive at a very high cost.
